This was my first RL14.5 made, and went to a very special client in Germany who was so patient and wonderful to work with. Because of a strong sensitivity to plastics, we decided to use shellac for the the finish on the whole guitar. I was extremely happy with the first try for the RL14.5 model, and so was the client.

Client review and comments:

“Some weeks are gone and I have become acquainted with the new guitar. With that my enthusiasm is still growing. Such a comfortable one, so dynamic, also soft and gentle. I guess I don`t have to tell how it sounds because you know how good it is, just so well balanced and emotional. The special thing is also what it does to me. I only played 11s before because it felt so much better for my fingers , with the RL 14.5 it is easy and natural to stay with the light gauge bringing more sound. And with your guitar I don`t want to just noodle around ( something I unfortunately always was tempted..), but it wants to make music, wants to play songs which feels also great and magic and astounding. And I want to play more with more accuracy, and rhythm, so it tends to help me be a better player. Something we somehow always seek in a new guitar, but never get..

No matter what musical style, pick or fingerstyle, it takes me easily everywhere, incredibly versatile. Visually I just love it. The rosette, woods, your whole execution, and the french polish turned out great , no smell , no problems!

So again I just want to thank you for building such a wonderful instrument and listening and taking care patiently of all my concerns!

With so many builders out there creating countless great guitars I guess it has become such a tough competition for you as a luthier, but you will certainly never have to worry because your work and guitars are high above in quality and sound having a special style and class, not the loud and obvious one that`s tiring soon...”
